KAIJU NO. 8 THE GAME Tier List & Reroll Guide

KAIJU NO. 8 THE GAME TIER LIST

When you first jump into Kaiju No. 8, rerolling can make a massive difference, especially if you’re aiming to start strong.
Right now, your main reroll target should absolutely be Reno Ichikawa.

He’s not just another striker, Reno brings Freeze utility, SP recovery, and consistent damage, which makes him one of the most well-rounded early units in the game. Since he’s not available in the standard gacha, getting him through rerolls gives you a serious head start that most players won’t have.

If you’re rolling on the THE GAME Gacha, your best free pickup is Kaiju No. 8 himself — he’s powerful, reliable, and scales well even into late-game content.

Early Tier List

Right now, Kaiju No. 8 doesn’t have a massive roster, but a few characters stand out as early must-haves. Here’s how they roughly rank based on performance and versatility:

  • Top Tier (SS) – Kaiju No. 8, Gen Narumi, Reno Ichikawa, Sagan Shinomiya, Soshiro Hoshina, Chester
  • High Tier (S) – Kikoru Shinomiya, Mina Ashiro, Soshiro Hoshina, Isao Shinomiya
  • Mid Tier (A) – Rin Shinonome, Mina Ashiro, Akari Minase, Ryo Ikaruga
  • Lower Tier (B–C) – Characters like Kafka Hibino, Kikoru Shinomiya (base), Reno (early levels), and a few of the support types that don’t scale well yet.

Among defenders, Isao Shinomiya is the standout — he’s currently the only 5 star defender, and with just a few others in the game, that makes him a great reroll target if you prefer tankier squads. His kit is all about defense and team protection, which can save you in tougher stages.

When to Stop Rerolling

If you manage to pull Kaiju No. 8 and Gen Narumi together, stop. That combo alone will carry you far into the early and mid-game without much struggle.

Normally, rerolling for permanent units isn’t worth the hassle, but in this case, it’s absolutely worth locking in.

Fast Reroll Method

Here’s the quickest way to reroll efficiently:

  1. Play through Chapter 0, Episode 3
  2. Complete the tutorial pulls and squad setup
  3. Skip deployment and go straight back to the home screen
  4. Grab all your gacha tickets from Mail and Login Bonuses
  5. Head to Gacha and roll your summons
  6. Not happy? Open the Account tab on the start screen and hit Delete Account
  7. Start again and repeat until you land your ideal pull

Reroll Tips

  • Use guest accounts for rerolling; only link your main one once you’re satisfied.
  • The delete-reset cycle in Kaiju No. 8 is super quick, so rerolling doesn’t take long.
  • Focus on securing at least one top-tier striker or defender early — it’ll make progression through story and events way smoother.

Overall, I’d say that, grab Reno Ichikawa if you can, aim for Kaiju No. 8 or Gen Narumi as your second, and if you luck into Isao Shinomiya, even better.

That trio gives you damage, defense, and crowd control, everything you need for a strong start.
