Main Goal of the Event
The Chubby Chipmunk Event is all about collecting nut-themed seeds, growing event crops, and raising special chipmunk pets.
The ultimate reward comes from feeding and growing the Chubby Chipmunk, as well as unlocking unique event plants and items.
Event Crops & Seeds
You’ll need to plant and harvest special event seeds:
- Acorn Squash Seed
- Hazelnut Seed
- Peanut Seed
- Filbert Nut Seed
- Persimmon Seed
- Acorn Seed
Tip: Prioritize fast-growing seeds first (like peanuts and hazelnuts) to stockpile early currency, then switch to slower, high-yield crops once you have garden space.
Currency & Progress
- Event items will drop into your inventory as you harvest the event plants.
- These will likely go toward filling the Nutty Fever progress bar (rumored at 0/900).
- You’ll also be able to spend them in Nutty Chests, which contain exclusive rewards.
Tip: Don’t hoard currency too long — spend steadily to progress before the event ends.
Event Pets
The event introduces several pets, but the Chubby Chipmunk is the centerpiece:
Chubby Chipmunk Mechanics
- Passive Eating: Every ~5 minutes, it eats a fruit from your garden and gains weight.
- Manual Feeding: Feeding gives a ~15% chance to add more weight, with increased odds if the fruit has mutations.
- Restrictions: It ignores favorited fruits and single-harvest fruits.
- Hunger: Has a huge hunger stat (50,000), meaning it can eat a lot before “full.”
Other Pets
- Farmer Chipmunk – helps boost gardening efficiency
- Idol Chipmunk – likely a cosmetic or bonus-based variant
- Chinchilla – secondary pet possibly linked to the event
Tip: Keep a stock of common fruits ready for feeding. Mutated fruits increase efficiency, so save them for the Chipmunk if you want to maximize gains.
Rewards
- Nutty Chests: Event chests that likely contain seeds, cosmetics, or exclusive gear
- Exclusive Pets: Chubby Chipmunk and variants
- Event Plants: Unlocking these will add permanent new crops to your collection
- Cosmetics/Decor: Possible event-only garden skins or items
Best Strategy for the Event
- Start planting immediately — time is limited, so don’t waste a day.
- Farm peanuts/hazelnuts early for quick currency.
- Rotate crops to maximize harvests (slow growers overnight, fast growers while active).
- Feed Chubby Chipmunk often — use mutated fruits whenever possible.
- Spend currency regularly — don’t risk ending with unused nuts.
- Prioritize pet unlocks — the pets are the real prize, as plants may return in future rotations.
